Baltimore, MD – October 27, 2007 – Landmark Theatres, the nation’s largest theatre chain dedicated primarily to independent film, announced the opening of its newest theatre – Landmark Theatres Harbor East on Friday, November 2, 2007. The destination offers a wide array of film choices in a sophisticated environment, featuring seven state-of-the-art auditoriums, a full bar and digital projection.

Landmark Theatres Harbor East entices movie-goers with a number of food and beverage options for before, during, and after the film. Guests may relax in special alcoves with banquette seating as they enjoy a drink from the theatre’s full bar. The theatre also offers an unparalleled variety of gourmet, health conscious, and specialty concessions including vegan cookies, gourmet pretzels served with Raspberry Wasabi or Apricot Ginger Mustard, and chocolate covered Tim Tams, a popular snack biscuit imported from Australia. And of course, Orville Redenbacher® popcorn popped in 100% sunflower oil and topped with real butter.

In the auditoriums, Landmark Theatres Harbor East features the most comfortable movie-going experience available with stadium seating, extra leg room, unobstructed sight lines and large, 26--inch foam seats. Additionally, the theatres are outfitted with state-of-the-art projection and sound equipment, including four Sony SXRD 4K digital cinema systems which deliver four times the resolution of HDTV, Dolby Digital Ex Surround Sound, and Klipsch Premium Sound Systems. Strategically located throughout the theatre, Samsung plasmas and LCD screens display show times and movie trailers, as well as concession and retail items available for sale including DVDs, books, CDs and other movie-related merchandise.
